White supremacist pleads guilty

Wednesday, September 19th, 2012

The last of four men who engaged in a drunken, racist spree of harassment and violence on Whyte Avenue in February 2011 has pleaded guilty to his crimes and avoided jail time.

Jason Anthony Anderson, 34, was given a two-year sentence to be served at home and three years of probation after he entered pleas to criminal harassment, causing a disturbance and two counts of assault.

Provincial court Judge Elizabeth Johnson called the crimes “despicable” as she sentenced him.

Crown prosecutor Ashley Finlayson said Anderson and three friends, members of white supremacist group Blood and Honour, spent the evening of Feb. 12, 2011, handing out pamphlets at the Churchill LRT Station before they went to drink at the Strathcona Hotel on Whyte Avenue around 9 p.m.

The group got seriously drunk over the next three hours, according to an agreed statement of facts.

Anderson and his friends then began to loudly sing a racist song from American History X, a fictional film about a white supremacist movement. The men gave Nazi salutes to each other and said “Heil Hitler.”

“They harassed anyone in the bar who was a visible minority,” Finlayson said. “It got worse as the evening progressed.”

Several patrons left the bar, including one “terrified” black woman who was harassed by the group for 10 minutes outside. Eventually, Anderson and his friends were kicked out of the bar and began to roam the Whyte Avenue area.

The group beat up a black man outside a bar on 103rd Street, though Anderson only encouraged that assault and did not directly take part. The group reached another bar, where a victim from the Strathcona Hotel recognized them and told friends about the previous racism.

“A melee ensued,” Finlayson said, and police were called. Anderson was identified and later arrested.

The entire evening was motivated by “racial hatred,” Finlayson said.

Anderson, a welder born and raised in the Edmonton area, apologized to the court as he was sentenced: “We regret everything that happened and I’m truly ashamed of my behaviour that night.”

“I would hope so,” Johnson told him.

During the two years he will serve in the community, Anderson must obey a curfew, abstain from alcohol, avoid bars and pubs, stay away from Whyte Avenue and have no association with the Blood and Honour group or any other white supremacist organization. He must also perform 120 hours of community service.

Last year, 19-year-old David Roger Goodman pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal harassment, two counts of assault and causing a disturbance for his role in the group that night. He was sentenced to 15 months in jail and a year of probation.

James Brooks, 26, pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal harassment, causing a disturbance, assault and assault with a weapon. He was sentenced to 13 months in jail.

Keith Virgil Decu, a Spanish man, was given a term of probation for his minimal role with the group.

North Texas Sikhs decry hate crimes

Sunday, September 16th, 2012

Violence overseas and here at home has the Sikh community reaching out to North Texans.

Members of Gurdwara Singh Sabha in Richardson held their first open house on Saturday. They said they want people to understand their faith, and how much they value human life.

They said when America suffers, they feel the pain, too — and they want to help in the healing process.

“The Sikh community is always going to be standing in solidarity with Americans and working with communities to ensure that we can have a substantive and positive change that brings that about within our communities,” said Gurdwara member Gurvinder Singh.

Sikhs also joined an “I Pledge Against Hate Crimes” campaign.

A Sikh temple in suburban Milwaukee, Wisconsin was the target of a rampage by a white supremacist who killed a six people and wounded four others before he took his own life.

Mark Matheny, Alleged White Supremacist, Accused of Failing to Kill His Wife and Himself

Thursday, September 6th, 2012

A man barricaded himself inside his house near Queen Creek yesterday when police came looking for him. Cops suspected him of attempting to kill his wife.

Mark Matheny, an alleged white supremacist — which seems apparent, given the swastika tattooed on his chest — then attempted to kill himself, which didn’t work out either.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Brandon Jones tells New Times that Matheny, 29, is suspected of stabbing his wife last week with a 6-inch KA-BAR combat knife, then beating her with brass knuckles.

Matheny locked himself inside the house when the authorities showed up yesterday, causing a nearby elementary school to be locked down.

After a few hours, a SWAT team went in the house, and found that Matheny had tried to kill himself with a telephone cord.

Matheny had informed his friends on Facebook of this with the classic “good bye [sic] cruel world,” and said he was doing it because of a girl — a status update that one of his friends “liked.”

He didn’t die either, and was taken to jail after being hospitalized.

Jones says Matheny has multiple swastika tattoos, as well as some Aryan Brotherhood tattoos, and although it probably goes without saying, investigators are pretty sure Matheny’s a white supremacist.

According to his Facebook page, he just got married in October. He’s also done prison time in California.

He’s currently facing a charge of attempted murder, and a couple aggravated-assault charges.

NEW YORK TIMES FALSELY LINKS WHITE SUPREMACIST GROUPS TO TEA PARTY

Friday, August 10th, 2012

And of course, the offending organization was the New York Times.

In a story titled, “Music Style Is Called Supremacist Recruiting Tool,” the Times describes how “white power” music, referred to as “hatecore,” acts like a gateway drug to more extreme white supremacist groups and activities. The Times interviews another journalist and gratuitously prints this journalist’s unfounded opinion (which comes across as reported facts) about the Tea Party in another effort to malign the movement and make it out to be something (racist) that it is demonstrably not:

One reason for the disarray might be the growth of a more mainstream movement, the Tea Party, whose successful forays into electoral politics have siphoned energy and support from violent fringe groups, said Chip Berlet, a Boston-based journalist who writes about right-wing groups.

To the writers at New York Times, it is not conceivable that the “white power” music scene may be diminishing because there are fewer people who share those racist views. Instead, the decline has to be falsely attributed to the rise of the Tea Party.

Supremacists sentence for racial beating

Tuesday, July 24th, 2012

A federal judge in Houston Monday sentenced three white supremacists to prison for their racially motivated beating of a black man last year.

The U.S. Justice Department said U.S. District Judge Kenneth Hoyt sentenced Brian Kerstetter, 33, to 77 months in prison, while Charles Cannon, 26, was given a 37-month prison term and Michael McLaughlin, 41, received 30 months. All three, who were convicted by a federal jury April 16, must also serve three years of supervised release after their prison terms.

Authorities said the trio — shirtless to display tattoos know to represent white supremacist beliefs — had surrounded the victim, a 29-year-old African-American waiting at a bus stop in downtown Houston Aug. 13, and punched and kicked him in the head and body. At least one of the attackers used a racial slur, authorities said.

The three men were arrested at the scene after a passerby called 911.

felon with suspected ties to white supremacist groups pleads guilty to weapons charge

Thursday, June 7th, 2012

A Minnesota man with suspected ties to white supremacist groups has pleaded guilty to a weapons charge.

Thirty-one-year-old Samuel James Johnson of Austin pleaded guilty Wednesday to being a felon in possession of firearms.

In his plea agreement, Johnson admitted he possessed a semi-automatic assault rifle on Nov. 4, 2010. He was indicted in April on weapons charges.

Johnson’s criminal history includes convictions in Mower (MOH’-ur) County for attempted robbery, robbery, possession of a short-barreled shotgun, and sale of a simulated controlled substance.

Prosecutors say because of his record, Johnson faces a minimum of 15 years in federal prison. The maximum sentence is life in prison.

A sentencing date has not been set.

AZ House Candidate Claims White Supremacist Endorsement Is Irrelevant Even Though It Was Renewed Last Week

Saturday, May 26th, 2012

Arizona House candidate Jesse Kelly (R) refused to discuss his endorsement from awhite supremacist group during aninterview with KGUN9 News this week, claiming the question about it was “completely out of bounds.”

When the anchor began to ask Kelly why he accepted the endorsement from political action group Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC), a controversial organization linked to neo-Nazi groups, Kelly’s campaign spokesman jumped in to cut her off, saying the question was “not unacceptable” because it was “not recent.” When the anchor persisted, Kelly echoed his spokesman’s sentiment:

However, although both Kelly and his spokesman are referring to the endorsement from AILPAC during the 2010 race that Kelly ran against Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ), the group actually renewed their endorsement of Kelly just last week. Kelly is currently running again to replace Giffords’ spot now that she is stepping down.

It’s unclear whether Kelly actively sought out the group’s endorsement, or whether he received it unsolicited. And, to be clear, Kelly should not be blamed for someone’s unsolicited decision to endorse him. He is accountable, however, for declining to distance himself from the group when given the opportunity to do so during the KGUN9 interview.

Farmworker guilty of killing white supremacist Terreblanche

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012

South Africa, May 22 (UPI) – Eugene Terreblanche was not killed because of his white supremacist views, a South African judge said Tuesday as he convicted a black farmworker of the crime.

Judge John Horn found Chris Mahlangu, 29, guilty of murder, the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph reported. Chris Ndlovu, 18, who was 15 when Terreblanche was killed, was acquitted of murder and convicted of housebreaking.

Horn said Mahlangu’s motives were economic.

“There was no conspiracy, no political intrigue, no racial undertones and no hidden agenda,” he said.

While Horn delivered his verdict, Terreblanche’s followers clashed outside the courthouse with supporters of the defendants.

“What’s sure is that this has not left us leaderless. We have leaders and this is not the end,” said Andre Nienaber, Terreblanche’s nephew. “Our battle will stop when our coffins are in the ground.”

Terreblanche, 69, was beaten to death in 2010 in the bedroom of his farmhouse in Ventersdorp. Mahlangu, who worked for him, said the killing was self-defense because Terreblanche was trying to rape him.

Evidence was also presented that Terreblanche mistreated Mahlangu and Ndlovu, underpaying them and giving them liquor instead of money.

In the 1980s, Terreblanche advocated a civil war to maintain white dominance. He later called for a separate Afrikaner state.

Anti White Racist attacked White supremacists

Monday, May 21st, 2012

It now appears that a vicious brawl at a south suburban restaurant on Saturday involved hammer-wielding “anti-fascists” attacking a group of self-professed “white nationalists.”

The attack occurred at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, according to Tinley Park police. Ten were injured, with three taken to local hospitals. Among innocent bystanders terrified by the bizarre explosion of violence were several dozen women there for a wedding shower.

Sources tell Fox Chicago News that at least one of the white nationalists was a fugitive wanted on as many as seven different warrants.

After the attack, several injured white supremacists fled immediately, declining medical treatment. Tinley Park Police said they detained five of the suspected attackers, who apparently call themselves members of the “South Side Chicago Anti-Racist Action.” Police and Cook County prosecutors said criminal charges could be filed Sunday.

The white supremacists had apparently posted on one or more of their websites that they planned to have lunch at the Ashford House restaurant, 7959 W. 159th St, Tinley Park. Their internet postings refer to a “5th Annual White Nationalist Economic Summit.” Not clear is whether they chose this weekend and this suburban Chicago location as some sort of response to the NATO Summit in Chicago.

The “anti-fascists” boasted of the violent attack on their own website, promising more to come. The first of four key unity principles cited on the website states: “Whenever fascists are active or organizing in public, we’re there. We don’t believe in ignoring them or staying away from them. Never let the Nazis have the street.”

A skinhead using the name Brandon Spiller posted several messages after the attack. He said doctors used eight surgical staples to close a wound inflicted on him. He complained, “I had my gun in my car, but couldn’t get to it due to Illinois law. If I was able to CCW (concealed carry of a weapon) they would have been stopped and I wouldn’t be typing this from a hospital.”

One witness told Fox Chicago News that, just before the brawl, the attackers gathered in a lot near the restaurant. They were dressed entirely in black, wearing hoodies and bandannas to conceal their identity. He said the attackers were all white, including a mix of young men and women who may have been in their 20s. He said they loudly chanted political slogans. Then, armed with baseball bats, nunchuks and hammers, they ran screaming through the restaurant’s front door.

The owners and managers of the Ashford House restaurant said they knew nothing about either group involved in the brawl.

General Manager Nick Cardinal told Fox Chicago News he was flabbergasted to learn that the diners targeted in the attack were white nationalists. He said he had no idea how or why they chose to meet at that location.

ARREST BLACK SUPREMACISTS OR FREE THE WHITE ONES

Friday, May 18th, 2012

Last week, a group of 10 white supremacists were arrested in an FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force operation in Orlando, Fla., for allegedly planning for an “inevitable race war.” The supremacist group is accused of being armed “to the teeth” and conducting drills in preparation for a race war against blacks and Jews. They were allegedly targeting Orlando City Hall and other locations. They allegedly had also discussed making ricin, a deadly poison.

I say these people should be released and left alone until this same governmental task force or another with similar powers arrests members of the New Black Panther Party (NBPP), along with Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton. The NBPP called for 5,000 volunteers in Sanford, Fla., to help hunt down George Zimmerman, who shot and killed Trayvon Martin, a black teenager, in self-defense. They also made ominous overtures toward the Sanford Police and prosecutor Angela Corey, saying, “If the government won’t do the job, we’ll do it.”

These threats should be taken seriously. There has been a spate of random police shootings in the last year; an unambiguous threat such as they made should have been taken seriously. They circulated a “Wanted Dead or Alive” poster of George Zimmerman, at a press conference. They placed a $10,000 bounty on the head of Mr. Zimmerman, which they raised to a million-dollar bounty. The monies for the bounty were solicited across state lines – they called on black professional athletes, actors and personalities to contribute to it.

The NBPP has openly called for the killing of “white babies.” Michelle Williams, NBPP chief of staff in Tampa, told blacks on a conference call: “I just want to say to all the listeners on this phone call, that if you are having any doubt about getting suited, booted and armed up for this race war that we’re in that has never ended, let me tell you somethin’ … the thing that’s about to happen [to] these honkies, these crackers, these pigs, these people, these motherf—ers … it has been long overdue. … I’m kinda pi–ed off right now that the state of Florida ain’t on fire. This could not have happened in L.A. because them brothers up there are not scared to riot. This could not have happened in St. Petersburg, Florida, where the black man over there ain’t scared to kill a cracker.” (Courtesy of Breitbart.com; posted by Erica Ritz, April 8.

During the same conference call, Chawn Kweli, a NBPP national spokesman, said: “And there are those who wish they could stand in this hour, to see the destruction of the devil’s world and the devil’s society – and [I] ain’t talking about no dude underneath the ground with a pitchfork and pantyhose. I’m talking about that blond-haired, blue-eyed, sometimes brown-eyed, Caucasian walkin’ around with a mindset, a demonistic mindset, and a nature to do evil and brutality.”

AL Sharpton and Jesse Jackson fomented anger and stoked the flames of violence during their rallies in Sanford. As Breitbart.com reported, the NBPP called for a race war and to “kill a cracker for Trayvon.”

Hashim Nzinga, the NBPP leader who called for the vigilante capture of Mr. Zimmerman, was literally only hours later arrested for illegally being in possession of a firearm as a convicted felon – when he sold a high-end firearm to Stone Mountain Pawn Shop, in DeKalb County, Ga.

The NBPP has long called for killing whites, and yet the Obama White House and Justice Department either do not take these threats seriously or are not interested in protecting white people. Since Martin was killed, there have been many instances of blacks committing violent acts against whites and then making reference to the acts being “for Trayvon.”

And yet the Obama administration has an FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force arrest a white supremacist group. I haven’t heard about a white person killing, car-jacking, or attacking a black person and then saying that it is “for George Zimmerman.”

This is the climate in which Fox News Channel is providing safe harbor for the avowed racist Jehmu Greene. Fox News has refused to return my phone calls or respond to emails by outraged, soon-to-be former viewers. Fox News has an obligation to show that they will not contribute to the teeming caldron of black racism.

We should not make room in America for racism and/or those who are working to incite racial discord. Nor should we be tolerant of a Jehmu Greene who has a long history of association with Marxist anarchist groups like ACORN – who not only harbor racist feelings but brazenly spew racist epithets in national public venues.

Fox has an obligation, at the very least, to suspend Greene without pay or never again make mention of a crime committed by a white person against a black. Just as the Obama administration must either release and apologize to the white supremacists arrested in Orlando or have the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force arrest the leadership of the NBPP, along with Al Sharpton, and Jesse Jackson.
